- Africa Group (Regional group / electoral): 53 members. Madagascar is member of Africa Group and member of East Africa sub-group.
- Group 77 + China: 130 members. In 2008, Madagascar, represented by his Ambassador Irène Rabenoro, is the President of the group. In 2009, Madagascar is the vice-president as a past immediate president.
In march 2011, Madagascar become Secretary of the Group, represented by Mrs. Hobitiana Razafimandimby, Scientific counsellor.
